The EDN.817 series pressure transmitter features a durable aluminum
housing with powder coating and a bright LCD display with white backlight. It
is designed for use with the MDI series chemical diaphragm seals, ensuring
excellent performance across a wide range of industrial applications.
Depending on the installation environment, optional wetted materials can
be selected to withstand harsh conditions such as acidic or toxic gases,
corrosion, or other external factors. These material options make the transmitter
suitable for petrochemical and refinery plants, food and beverage industries,
medical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology applications.
The MDI model, designed as a chemical seal, contains a diaphragm built
into the center of the flange. Its wetted parts can be manufactured using
various special materials according to customer requirements, such as:
■ Teflon coating
■ Hastelloy C alloy
■ Titanium
■ Tantalum
The sensing and electronic modules of the EDN.817 series are designed and
developed under strict quality standards, incorporating advanced protection
technologies against noise, burst, insulation failure, and surge. Through the
comprehensive system design, quality management, and full inspection process by
DAHO Technical Research Center, the transmitter ensures high reliability and
delivers stable analog and digital communication signals.
The EDN.817 series offers two functional options, allowing users to select
according to their application requirements:
■ RS485 communication
■ 2-channel relays (2 switch outputs)
During development, the EDN.817 underwent more than ten types of
comparative performance and durability tests against domestic and international
products. It also passed EMC and EMI performance tests, proving its top-level
quality and reliability. As a result, the EDN.817 maintains stable measurement
performance even under high temperatures, strong electrical noise, or burst
environments, making it suitable for a wide range of harsh industrial
conditions.
Typical applications include:
■ Refinery and petrochemical plants
■ Food, medical, and pharmaceutical industries
■ Heavy industry and shipbuilding
■ General process industries
■ Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Currently, the Explosion-Proof Certification Ex d IIC T6 is under
application to the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), with
certification expected to be completed by December 2025 after evaluation and
testing.
