– Ex d IIC T6 certification expected by 2025
The EDN.816 series pressure transmitter
features a robust aluminum housing with powder coating and a bright white LCD
display with backlight. It is designed to be used together with the MDF
series chemical diaphragm seals, making it suitable for a wide range of
industrial applications.
Depending on the operating environment, optional
wetted materials are available to withstand harsh conditions such as acidic
or toxic gases, corrosion, or other external factors. These stainless steel
or special material options make the transmitter ideal for petrochemical and
refinery plants, food and beverage processing, medical, pharmaceutical, and
biotechnology industries.
The MDF model, used as a chemical diaphragm
seal, can be manufactured with special wetted materials according to customer
specifications, such as:
■ Teflon coating
■ Hastelloy C alloy
■ Titanium
■ Tantalum
The sensing and electronic modules of the EDN.816
series are designed and developed under the most rigorous standards,
incorporating advanced protection technologies against noise, burst,
insulation failure, and surge. Through the comprehensive system design,
quality control, and 100% inspection process by DAHO Technical Research
Center, the transmitter delivers perfect analog and digital communication
signals with high reliability.
The EDN.816 series is designed with two
functional options that users can select according to their application needs:
■ RS485 communication
■ 2-channel relays (2 switch outputs)
During development, the EDN.816 underwent more
than ten types of performance comparison and durability tests against domestic
and international products under demanding industrial conditions. It also
passed EMC and EMI compliance tests, demonstrating top-level quality and
stability. As a result, the EDN.816 is capable of maintaining accurate
and stable measurements even under high temperatures, strong electrical
noise, and surge/burst environments.
It is therefore suitable for a wide range of
industrial applications, including:
■ Refinery and petrochemical plants
■ Food, medical, and pharmaceutical industries
■ Heavy industry and shipbuilding
■ General process industries
■ Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Currently, the Explosion-Proof Certification Ex d
IIC T6 is under application to the Korea Occupational Safety and Health
Agency (KOSHA), with certification expected to be completed by December
2025 after review and testing.
